Many working parents and nannies are trying to figure out how to manage the situation. Parents are looking for nannies that not only can nurture their kids but can also tutor/teach different grade levels. And nannies are feeling the pressure of extra work for the same amount of money. And on top of that most of the positions are required to live in. Families are even asking nannies if they can move in with them completely (7days/24hrs).
The job of a nanny is so unique? You could say it involves unique personal interaction with the Boss. They work long hrs making sure kids are not only in a safe environment, but that they grow up learning good manners, respect others, learning how to interact in society and basically; nannies go beyond a “care taker” and if you are lucky you will find yourself hiring a “Mary Poppins”.
So during these Pandemic days nannies do more than ever. From cleaning and cooking to teaching algebra. Also, families are creating an employment agreement laying out strict social distancing guidelines.
And from the point of view as Domestic Agency; yes Greenhouse can say we are lucky and proud that our business keeps on growing, during these harsh times. But now we see a different kind of approach from clients. Higher the demands and higher the requirements. And we are here to help and understand not only the families’ needs, but also our candidate’s.
