If you could choose to work from home would you? The sound of it is appealing, earning your paycheck from the comfort of your home, but what if you have kids? While working from home would give you more time with your children, is it truly feasible to manage both your childcare & work responsibilities at the same time?
Flashback to one of my favorite YouTube videos. Professor Robert Kelly is an American political analyst on Inter Korean affairs as well as a professor of political science at Pusan National University. In March of 2017 he was busy at work being interviewed when his kids hilariously decided to make a guest appearance (2:20 mark in video). While his wife rushed in to pull their little party crashers away, viewers across the globe were left chuckling at the innocent incident.
If your home is going to be your office, it may be a good idea to bring in some new coworkers. Having an experienced nanny can be an easy solution to the problems of many self employed parents. Problems such as maintaining noise levels & providing support for children who cling onto their parents when it’s time to go back to work. In busy homes & work environments the more help you can get the better.
